How do I see my word?

Press and hold the centre card to reveal your word or imposter role. Keep holding while you read, then lift your finger to hide it. Once you've seen your card, tap Hide & pass the phone. A quick tap on the card won't reveal it.

Add your own word pack

Open Word packs and tap +. Name your pack, then type or paste at least three words, or import a text or CSV file. Put each entry on its own line. Save your pack and select it to include its words in the next round.

You can give each word three hints by writing it like this:

Coffee | roasted, mug, caffeine

Use three different single-word hints. When word hints are switched on, custom entries without hints stay out of the word pool.

Change the round

Round rules lets you choose the number of imposters, enable word hints and set a discussion timer. Each imposter gets one of the word's three hints at random, so two imposters might see the same hint or different ones.

The game chooses who speaks first, with a lower chance of choosing an imposter. You can also switch on Never start with an imposter. Arrange the players in the order you'll pass the device before dealing.

Your saved game

Player names, settings and custom packs are saved on your device. Read the Imposter privacy policy for details about storage, imports and deleting your data.
