Add a countdown
Tap + and give it a name and a date. Leave All day on for a date, or switch it off to count down to a time, such as a flight. You can add an emoji and choose a colour, or leave the emoji off.
Turn on Repeats every year for birthdays and anniversaries. When the day has passed, the countdown moves on to the next year by itself. If a date has passed and doesn't repeat, it moves to Past and counts the days since.
How days are counted
Awaited counts calendar days, so a date tomorrow shows 1 day to go whatever the time. In the last 24 hours before a countdown with a time, it shows a live hours, minutes and seconds timer instead. Dates stay on the same day when you travel between time zones.
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets
Touch and hold an empty part of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget and choose Awaited. The Countdown widget shows one date; Up next lists your next few. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise, then add Awaited to the widget area.
Each Countdown widget shows Next up by default, which always shows your soonest date. To pin a specific countdown, touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget and choose one. Tapping a widget opens that countdown in the app.
Apple Watch
Install Awaited from the Watch app on your iPhone. Your countdowns are sent from your iPhone to your watch, so add and edit them on your iPhone. To add a complication, touch and hold your watch face, tap Edit and choose Awaited for a complication slot. Awaited also appears in the Smart Stack.
Your countdowns
Your countdowns are saved on your devices and aren't sent to us. Read the Awaited privacy policy for details.
